Who may qualify?
In general, applications for residency are accepted from New Church people who have been members of the church for at least 3 years and have reached the age of normal social security commencement.

Cairnwood Village, Inc. is a non-profit retirement community, sponsored by the General Church of the New Church of the New Jerusalem for members of any New Church organization recognized by the General Church.
Situated in the heart of Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, Cairnwood Village offers modern apartment living in peaceful and secure surroundings. Adjacent to the Bryn Athyn College of the New Church, the Village is just off Huntingdon Pike, only two blocks from the magnificent Bryn Athyn Cathedral.

Can I afford residency?
Residency at Cairnwood Village is planned for those who can and want to remain independent. Many future residents now own their own homes. When sold, these homes may be of sufficient value to provide the entrance fee and, in many cases, additional money for investments with earnings to cover some or all the monthly maintenance costs.
This investment income - plus the elimination of such expenses as insurance, taxes, maintenance, heating and electricity - combined with Social Security, pensions and other income, may leave residents with more discretionary income than they had before. For many people who do not have homes to sell, but do have investments, Cairnwood Village may still be a possibility.
